Beyond Spots & Dots Named Honorable Mention in Pittsburgh Magazine's "Great Places to Work"
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Pittsburgh Magazine names Pittsburgh advertising agency Beyond Spots & Dots as an “Honorable Mention” on its list of “Great Places to Work.”
“Great Places to Work” appears in the October 2010 issue of Pittsburgh Magazine, and highlights both large and small companies (i.e.. More than and less than 100 employees) that were rated “great” by their employees in several intangible categories of employee engagement. Pittsburgh Magazine selected five large companies and 10 small companies as winners, and named 13 Honorable Mentions, including Pittsburgh advertising agency Beyond Spots & Dots.
Rankings were compiled by Next Generation Consulting of Madison, WI. The anonymous 40-question survey required employees to rate their company based on trust, management, professional development, connections, rewards, and life-work balance. To validate their ratings, participants were also asked if they would recommend their company to current job-seekers. At least half of a company’s employees had to complete the survey to be considered.
Company scores, out of a possible 100%, were calculated based on the weighted average of ratings in each of the survey’s six categories. Next Generation considered company scores of 80% or higher to be exceptional. None of the Pittsburgh Magazine winners scored lower than 87.9%.
